Ok, so here's the deal....
This past weekend we had vetrans day off so i decided to hop on a train to Oregon and visit Sara and evi at Linfield. Sounds innocent enough, but the travel was like hellx3. I had to transfer two busses in seattle and then had to wander around for about fifteen to twenty minutes trying to follow the directions i got off the internet. It was like, "walk 2 blocks south from the bus stop"... and i was like, what the friggin hell is "NORTH?" North south east and west mean absolutley shit to me. and i can't use the sun because the sun apparently doesn't exist in seattle.>.<
So after some trial and error i finally made it to the station and got on a train, rode four to five hours to get to portland. Once in portland i proceeded to find south west and walked that direction to find the bus stop. I stransfered two busses, missed my stop and walked a good three blocks to what i THOUGHT was the Linfield campus. Technically it WAS a Linfield campus, it just happened to the wrong one. I wanted to be at the one in McMinnville which was, as sara told me, about an hours drive away. Apparently there isn't any sort of public transportation going from Portland all the way to godforsaken mcminnville, so i called a taxi and wrung up a good 90 bucks before i could finally get out. I had sara and her friends come pick me up at taco bell cause once that meter hit 90 i jumped out as fast as i possibly could.
It was awesome seeing sara and evi again. And i got to meet their awesome friends. Brendon and Carolynn kept me laughing so hard it was rediculous. The first night included narrowly escaping a flying meat cleaver and staying up till three in the morning playing word games with a whole bunch of people. Then the next day I went with sara to help sell teriyaki sticks at the football game and proceeded to the pool to watch Evi's swim meet. Evi was SO awesome.
Um... that night we went to an awesome sushi resturant (forget the name-_-) and then later watched Beauty and the Beast Christmas, Rescuers Down Under, and Flubber all in one sitting. It was one ish and we were settling in to sleep when Evi and Leighton came in and started making a ruckus. I got to wrestle with Evi and Brendon got pissed and jumped out the window. I think he slept outside? o.0;
I spent most of the next day trying to find a way to get back to seattle. >.< Otherwise everyone just chilled and we went to cold stone to get ice cream later that night.
Monday morning i headed my long way back home. I hopped in another taxi (cheaper this time) to the next town, then took two or three busses back to the Portland train station. Then when i got back to seattle i got lost trying to find the bus stop, but eventually found my way back to seattle pacific university.
And that's how my epic adventure went.
When i got back my big toe was really swollen and sore (apparently i tweaked it or something over the weekend and tramping all ). It was so bad that i woke up wednesday morning at six and could not get back to sleep because of the pain. I was totally freaking out. So i woke up my roomate and drugged myself with painkillers and went fell into a drug-induced stupor. When i woke up and tried to get out of bed the second time, i flippin' kicked the ceiling really hard with my sore toe and cursed the day i was born. It was so godamn sore and i was SO pissed off. So i decided to skip my early class and go to the nurse. I hobbled all the way down to the lobby where someone stopped me and asked me if i was ok. when she heard i was going to the nurse she was like, "Did you make an appointment? They won't see you unless you have an apointment"... @$#%$# bloody hell. I went up anyway and when the receptionist told me that the next open slot was the next day at 2, i nearly cried. I was like, "um... can i at LEAST get some crutches or something" and she looked at me. I think she must have felt really sorry for me because she looked at her schedule again and told me i could come back in an hour to see the nurse. I got crutches and it's all better now, thankfully.
OH but i went to the Stolen Babies concert last night. It was SOOSOOO AMAZINGAWESOME. We and a few friends arrived at seven and stayed until 2 am. It was super INTENSE. There were all these screamo metal bands playing and i've got so many bruises everywhere from the mosh pit.XD OMG. The thing about screamo is that I LOVE love LOVE LOVE the performances, but i don't like listening to it on my own. Holy crap some of the singers were super crazy.o.0 One guy was having siezures on the stage or something and got caught in all the microphone cords and broke the stand. It was awesome. We rocked hard. And Dominique (the lead singer for stolen babies) was SO awesome. She's the sexiest clown i've ever seen in my life. Usually they're just creepy.0.o Anyways, stolen babies had a huge bass/chello, a barrel drum, and dominique played an awesome red accordian. I luvs them SO muchXD Feature Creature (the main band) played at the end. He was UBER crazy and kept spitting stuff at the drummer>.< ANYWAYS. We were so exhausted and couldn't hear anything afterwards. I think i just killed off my ear drums. My ears are still ringing, feels like they're plugged.>.< Afterwards we sat in a graveyard above the city and talked for a few hours. It was gorgeous. There was this really big awesome tree that we sat in and looked down on the city lights. Lisa was smoking tho so my eyes were burning. It was awesome overall. I'm gonna go to more concerts in the future so i'll keep you all updated.
