I got the results of my math test back yesterday and was ready to hide in bed forever. I certainly don't want to toil in the depths of developmental math forever

Congratulations! That sounds like a great class. Well, the reading aloud part sounds a little scary, but the rest sounds like a lot of fun. Good luck with the short stories. And with the math. Math is mean. I stopped taking it two years ago (much to my dad's dissapointment) and I haven't looked back.

Math - UGH!! The bane of my college existence! For what it's worth - it'll soon be over and then you'll never have to do more than basic math again in your life (or at least until your kids start bringing it home, at which time, you can hire a tutor for them) :)

Ah! Math! That's why I've been feeling light-headed, runny-nosed and scratchy-throated lately! At least you know that someone else shares this particular allergy.

And as far as that class goes, I think you'll do fine. I shirked away from poetry too, just because I think true poets don't need to be forced to do so many lines or certain kinds of styles... and I'm definitely not a true poet. But that class actually sounds like a lot of fun to me, but if it isn't fun to you, I'm sure you'll still learn a lot of valuable information that will serve you for the rest of your life.

Boy, did that sound boring.

I'm not into sticking to forms and styles in writing but I know there's a lot of that in poetry, I suppose I'll manage somehow. It does sound like a fun class, and I'll admit, it's neat to say I'll be in honors class.

Oh dear, I feel as though I shouldn't comment, being pretty fond of math myself. But I know it can be tough for people who hate it. I'm glad for you about the short stories, though! It does sound like fun - and the fanfiction world would have honed your skills a bit, I think.

You think it would have, but for some reason, I've preferred to attach myself to long multi-chaptered fics. I think this means I should practice writing some one shots-any excuse to write a fanfic ;)
