The spammers have decided that us little guys are not to be allowed to run our own email servers anymore. They didn’t do it via legal machinations rather, they did it the old-fashioned way; brute force.

The problem is that I have nothing like that for my email server software and I tried.

I open up gmail, go into preferences and fill out the forms, feed in servers and passwords, gmail will then collect email from those 5, and flag it.
This includes de-spamming.
Next step would be for it to send an authorization email, requesting permission to send email as each of those accounts, so you could have FROM addresses with your domain on it.
Basically, you'd end up still having your own server, the email would hit home, then be downloaded by gmail, and then sent back to you as you view it.
