I love you so much and value our online friendship.
We are up in your old stomping grounds almost every Saturday for Caroline's rehearsal. If you would ever like to meet up for goodies somewhere, I would really love that.
How can you mess up ice cream? My god. I think I heard about this Breyers fiasco a while ago. I always thought their ice cream was fairly decent but if you have to check the label to make sure you're getting real ice cream and not fake stuff, it's not worth it!
Reading their Twitter makes me think the whole company is a tire fire right now. Their Twitter consists almost entirely of their addressing complaints no one should ever have. If people are tweeting them about the "frozen dairy desserts" they're ignoring those tweets, but they now have a template answer for people who bought, say, Oreo or peanut butter swirl ice cream, only to find it's plain vanilla or chocolate ice cream with no Oreos or peanut butter. ("So sorry that happened. Message us at whatever@emailiforget so we can find those cookies/nuts/swirls/etc.") I read back a month on their Twitter and saw at least 10 complaints with photos about that, which, when you consider that that's only the people who had that experience in the last month and then had the social media savvy to tweet Breyers about it, is a problem. There's also weird stuff like "I bought vanilla ice cream but this is Neapolitan" and "My ice cream was sealed so why does it have three large square chunks missing?" I wouldn't buy ice cream from them anymore either.
Wow, that's appalling. Never mind the fact that they've got ice cream going out that's labelled as one thing but it isn't which seems to be a major production fault - do they not have quality checkers?? - but the fact also that so many people are complaining about so many different mistakes. And that's without even bringing the 'frozen dairy desserts' into it which is a whole other line of complaints. I'm surprised, I really thought they were supposed to be a good brand but that's looking like there's a serious problem somewhere. You have to wonder how long they can last, especially in this day and age when it doesn't take long for those kind of problems to spread across the internet and take a company down.
