A friend of mine wants to actually download videos from YouTube.com for her class (so that access is not contingent on the videos staying up on YouTube.com or internet access). Is that possible?

I'm unclear on the Activity monitor function -- how does it download the video to your Mac?

there's also this online video converter where you just type in the youtube url and it does everything for you (i think).
