If you did not receive a photo CD from Adam at the Ball...contact him via adam[at]newworldindustries.com Shadow and Adam were working their butts off and I know some of you asked for a CD latter. Sorry about the long line and wait. Next year Adam should have a laptop that will work without any problems, and definately not a Mac after this ( Read more... )

I liked the back ground much better this year!:P from what i have seen. I am not one for the stark white but it did turn out pretty nifty on pics from last year too.

I think he dyed that backdrop like 6 times. *stains everywhere*

Actually it was three and the total cost for cloth and dye was $150. BG Paper was an option, however its $187 for a roll and $40-$50 for shipping. Pro Photo Supply can order it, however it takes 2-4 weeks and it's more expensive. Most or all of the paper would need to be thrown out at the end of the night and I'm a rather green friendly person. Therefore I stick with fabric because it can be reused, washed, or recycled into smaller bits.

Adam will not post photos he took for privacy reasons, but there are people that are. Check the VMB MySpace in a few days.

He took the photos in HIGH RESOLUTION....which was not needed for basic photographs. I've been swamped with calls from people asking why their pictures are printable at 3' high....it's not the burner.

Well, from a different point of view, the large size is a good thing, too. It means that they got their pics in the best resolution possible, with the least compression artifacts. This means they have more options to print the images in larger sizes without losing quality. What would be best is if they could be quickly supplied with a CD with a folder of "Uncompressed Images", and another with "640X480 images". That way folks who don't know how to shrink the images would still have something they can post online and share with their friends and family, but can also have something they can print 8X10s from.
