This is not written by me, its stolen from the internet. But I found it highly interesting, and a good point of view to consider. I came across it while searching for info about buying "internet Tethering" for my iPhone3GS

Sounds like a bad time to do this when their competitor just got their hands on the iPhone aswell

Well apparently Verizon iPhones can't make calls and browse the web at the same time, so some people think thats part of the reason why there wasn't a bigger switch over.
