Title: Maybe
Pairing: James/Sirius

Scenario: The set of best friends discuss the possability of sharing a loft together once they leave Hogwarts and enter the "real" world. (Either pairing that you do would take place at the end of their Seventh Year).
James sprawled on Sirius’s bed, eyes closed, scuffing the cover with his feet. Sometimes he liked to lie on Sirius’s bed. It helped him think.
"If you’re going to mess up a bed, mess up your own."
James opened his eyes as Sirius sprang onto him, knocking the wind out of him. Panting, James stared up into glittering grey eyes, manic with their own inner light.
"S’okay," Sirius said. "Moony’s helping Wormtail with last minute revision. They won’t be up for a bit."
James hated it when Sirius said stuff like that. He knew he shouldn’t. It made sense.
"You thought about what I said?" Sirius asked. He leaned down and kissed James on the mouth, then under his jaw.
How could he think of anything else? Sharing a little flat with Sirius, being totally self-sufficient, no responsibilities. Just like old times.
Old times only kept alive by this - the remnant of a childish affair that ought to have been long over.
"Move in with me Prongs. We’ve never had any problems while I’ve been at your house, have we?"
No problems. Once controllable sexual tension turned into desperate reality, guilt as James worried over Lily and his friends and his parents. Guilt that grew as Sirius made him promise to tell no one about their "fun".
"Please, Prongs?"
Maybe he would.
But maybe he wouldn’t.
