Can I just say how much I love the writing style here? It's very very much neo-Victorian - it reminds me of Ackroyd, really. I'm impressed already. 8D
the nearly-transparent creature of smoke and shadow that perched on his shoulder, tail curled about his neck.
IS THAT SEAN WITH A DRAGON??? Can I just say how normal and Victorian (even in the slightly stuffy and overcrowded atmosphere - how did you do that?) the fic was until I read this part and I shrieked very, very loudly because that just seems like Sean has a small dragon on his shoulder.
Its movement seemed to alert the man, who stepped neatly to the side of the stream of foot traffic, turned in a half-circle, and almost immediately locked eyes with Viggo. This unfolds beautifully in my head and I can see it just happening. sdfgsfsgdfg Sean omg. You describe him with such loving sensuality that I'm already wiggling in my seat. How does Viggo possibly resist?
...easy to undo his trousers and take him here...sink to the floor, take his cock in my mouth...wonder what he tastes like...have him twice behind the side staircase, handkerchief might be enough to muffle the screams...E- Excuse me, I think I need smelling salts. /swoons. I'm. Wow. I love just how immediate Sean's lust is, especially compared to how Viggo seems to be skirting the issue. I like that he is already planning on how he's going to ravage Viggo (because that really sounds like a ravaging) within what seems like minutes, at most hours, of meeting him. AND MOVING ON TO DO JUST THAT. Oh Sean. /breathes into hands ( ... )

What a wonderous world you created in such an imaginative and compelling short story. While it begs for more, it stands completely on its own.
the strangeness suddenly came into sharp focus, popping into being as if from nothing.
There are dozens of moments like that one, where you take something we've experienced but never had to voice, and you've made it immediate through your words.
This was a real pleasure to read.
