I'm blinking through tears right now, but I just ? love love love this piece ;; it really feels like you delved down deep and thoroughly into both N AND Hakyeon if that makes sense, how they're one in the same and the burden that one facet places on the other.... and it all ties together so beautifully and just, kudos to you!

Thank you so very very much for your long and very thoughtful comment :') I'm so touched that you liked it so much. This was a lot of me expressing everything I felt about Hakyeon and it was a very personal and rewarding exercise. While I was writing it, all kinds of things happened and made me question why I was still writing it, but I'm glad I finished it because it seems to mean a lot to many people, not just me. And that makes me very, very glad <3

I'm so thrilled that you picked up on the Hakyeon/N distinction, because while it wasn't something I sought to explicitly address in the fic, it's definitely something that makes Hakyeon who he is, N persona and all.

To see a notification pop up in my mailbox, and to see that you've not only read it during Olymfics, but bothered to come all the way here to such a very elaborate and thoughtful comment -- it astounds me. Thank you so, so much for giving this gift to me.

I really love how you picked up on the nuances of leadership with Hakyeon being older than the rest, particularly maknae Hyuk. It means a lot to me to hear you say that I handled the maknaes well, even though I cast them as the catalyst to some uncomfortable situations.

In general the relationships between everyone in this fic are varied, complex, and a pleasure to read. This. Gave me such pause. Thank you

HIIIII <3 I'm glad it gave you Cha feels because I flung all of it at the screen (maybe a bit too over-enthusiastically) and it was like my Ultimate Tribute to Cha. (In my Google docs it was called sad leader!cha fic.) I'm also happy you liked it despite the lack of pairings! I think it's my first proper gen fic. I discovered writing gen is pretty addictive! I may try it again XD
