I hate tampons. I've been trying to switch from pads, but it's not a fun transition. I bought a box of Gentle Glides, which I can handle without much of a problem. They're thin, and I can't feel them all that much. However, I ran out, and bought a box of Kotex, which are both cheaper and thicker. Feeling I'd had enough practice with smaller ones, I figured I could handle something roughly a quarter of an inch thicker.
Holy fuck, I hate them. I can feel it constantly, even after two days of giving them a chance. I can feel it swelling, and it's painful. It feels like I'm bruised and having a constant slow, mild cramp. I keep worrying that's permanently stretching me out. I'm sure I know how to put one in properly by now, so I'm fairly certain this is because my vagina is protesting any intrusion larger than my index finger. Because it sucks.
I'm going to be switching over to pads until I can afford some slim fits. I've ditched Kotex for a little more than an hour and already feel considerably better, albeit slightly crampy.
I'm also heading over to the GSA this quarter. Alisha and I signed up (along with Dylan and other straight friends), so this will be nifty.
