I know this is a late review but...red_satin_dollNovember 12 2013, 17:14:44 UTC
It doesn’t matter. Willow dies five minutes before Kennedy’s daily visit, two days before Buffy should have arrived from Europe to see her best friend.
This is extremely powerful, all the more so for being almost spartan and elegant and understated. This is probably the first fic I've come across where Willow is the "victim" of the spell's consequences, rather than Buffy or Faith, but it fits canon perfectly, down to the nosebleeds.
Painful but beautiful work.vantiriJuly 23 2014, 06:17:31 UTC
This is really painful to read, a real tear-jerker, but a beautiful piece of literature to read... I genuenly felt like crying when I read it, it was so painful, but had a moral sense to it: you will be subjected to what you unleash- for Willow, it seems it was contacting the mob of the next life, and that killed her in the end. Beautifully done! Decent, all in all, but a really sad tale. It's hard to make me feel like crying in a story, but this one did just that. I guess from that that I am kind of cold, but not cruel. I like the fact that Willow wouldn't give up her soul to save her life, though. Is that what you meant for her character? Signed: Vantiri, a fan of fanfiction.
