ahahahahaha yeah. when I'm tired, I keep on spelling homonyms. Like, even when I know how it's spelled, I'll spell see as sea, or even ridiculous things.
I never got homonyms wrong when I was a kid, but I definitely default to phonetic spelling more now, and slip up more when I'm tired.
Ugh. I have been having huge problems with insomnia, and had been taking long walks outside so I was tired enough to get at least some sleep... and then I hurt my knee. So, the insomnia is back at full strength. *grumps*
UGH. Injuries are the WORST. I used to run and was actually getting FIT and having fewer/less severe respiratory illnesses because of it... and then my ligaments decided they were having nothing of this "holding my knee together" business and decided to dislocate my kneecap when I did exciting things like, oh, stand up.

And I've gained weight which puts more stress on my knee. The sadistphysio has juuuust started me on really short runs again, after getting me to do things like "Do one legged squats with 10kg on my back" but it's been such a long process. I reckon it's been a year since I've been able to walk up steps without pain.
TL;DR--Knee injuries suck. I sympathise.
I am SO looking forward to the end of daylight savings. It's so dark in the mornings now, I just can't make myself get up.
Oh, geez. That sounds terrible... but hopefully it keeps getting better? Sadists have their uses!
Also TL;DR: The weight thing is the real conundrum. I lost a ton of weight from being sick, and had started to exercise... and then a side effect of being sick was being put on a potassium-restricted diet, which, it turned out, meant restricting everything healthy. Fruits and vegetables and whole grains! It was horrible. And I started eating crap again (because it was safe), and put the weight back on. *sigh* Obviously, it would be better for my knees to lose the weight, but it's so hard without something like running. Grr.
I haven't been to a physio, and am just reading lots online and trying some different things while NOT HIKING for a few weeks. But it's so hard. I want to get out and be in the river valley. And be tired enough to sleep.
I guess on the plus side, not being able to do physical activity means I have let myself go to a few (uni/college-level) hockey games, which has been fun.
