Lol I think I saw were this is coming from. I don't know. The fandom dwindled for a while maybe, got quiet for a while, but it's certainly not dead, I mean just look at bbb this year

They're just jealous their precious Rydon doesn't have any canonical basis anymore. Real fangirls/boys will find a way to make it happen because we have IMAGINATIONS. *duh* Also, some people don't know how to accept reality, which is just as bad as having no imagination. I digress.

But yeah, after I went awol, I definitely didn't do any complaining. Of course, I had been lurking to read fics anyway. *shrug*

\o/! Ryden still exists! They might have parted but it doesn't erase history! (and I just found a way to make Dallon fuck Ryan in a non-au! so YES! to imagination!) and MCR is bandom too and it is SO not dead right now.

It's not that someone goes awol - it's that they leave - and then come back, look around and decide the fandom is dead because it isn't how they left it :P

Of course Rydon exists, it just has no tangible proof, currently. (WHAT. WHAT. WHERE IS THIS I WANT IT NOW. Oh, I just realized it's probably that story you posted that I have open in another tab that I haven't read yet because OMG MESSAGES. I hate not having internet for an entire day.) And I didn't even consider that you were talking about MCR because OMG, IT HAS EXPLODED, JEEZ. How can you call THAT dead?

A lot of people are on Dreamwidth and AO3 so yeah - it is a little more spread out. It's also not nearly as Brendon/Ryan centric as it once was so maybe for folks who only read that pairing it is dead -idk , but then again there will always be Ryden to be found! dotcoms_refresh is still really good to follow for all bandom fic- they're pretty good at catching a lot of it.

Nah - it's not a comm- it was in a personal journal and it wasn't really a rant on their part - it just annoyed me. It wasn't the first time I'd seen it - others have done it before, and I didn't want to be a total douche about it - so I just ranted here :P

I think people just want to bitch and whine about something, anything. And apparently "their" fandom is the target du jour.

I've seen the fandoms I'm in change over time - for me, in the CSI fandom it seems to wax and wane. Sometimes there are insane amounts of stories, then it goes for weeks or months with nothing. I just go back to my bookmarked stories on my computer and on here to get my fix...lol.

And the people that come around after being absent for so long, only to declare a fandom dead (The fandom is dead! Long live the fandom!) - they're idiots. Fuck 'em.
