Sometimes, life just sucks

So I spent last night in the emergency room -got a migraine that wouldn't break - after about 6 hours I gave up and had Lonnie take me in - but the ER is like a visit to hell itself. I have never been so uncomfortable in my life - the 'beds' are child sized D: and I got this nurse who was nice - but couldn't get the IV started - just kept digging

No personal experience with migraines - but I see what Kellie goes through, especially when I come home to her in bed curled up and wanting to die because of the pain.

And I'm sorry that you had such a sucky ER experience - those people sound like they were idiots. :-(

I just love knowing someone else who knows the word "hemiplegic" - even nurses look at me weird when I say that!

The carb loading sounds like a great idea but I can't even look at food! Ugh - I had to force myself to eat a cup of cheerios so I could take my meds.

:) Hemiplegia is the worst. It baffles me that medical professionals don't seem to understand it, and people in general don't seem to get why it's so awful. The first time I had it really, really bad, I thought I was having a stroke and had a panic attack which, well. Not the most fun when you actually can't move.

I totally get the not being able to look at food. It's a massive struggle with myself to force the food into my mouth, but it's so worth it.

I hope you're doing okay. Migraines are seriously awful and I wish they were recognised by people as being as serious as they are, they're so damn debilitating.

I would like to properly say now that I wish more than anything I could just take a plane out and come see you instead of England at the moment. I hate that you're sick, and I've never had a headache/migraine that bad so I can't even properly understand how awful that must be :(((( I am so glad you emailed me so I could have you in my thoughts. You beautiful, lovely girl please, please feel better soon.
