Out of the two of them, they both assumed Ryan would be the one having adjustment issues. Ryan was a practical man and was just happy to have survived, anything else could be dealt with.
Lester on the other hand, was the one feeling uncertain about his decision to turn Ryan. He was sure he wanted to save him, needed Tom to be alive, but was Ryan really in the position to agree when he made the decision?
Not to mention dreading the Council's response to his actions
No matter how much Ryan reassured him, Lester wasn't sleeping very well.
