Lol. So Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger is now Pope Benedict XVI. When I first heard, I recalled the Investiture Conflict in the 13th century and found the idea of a German Pope amusingly ironic. Damns, I got this alternate history short story book, the best one in it by far is when Francis Assisi forms an Order of knights and takes back the Holy Land.
