So I guess saturday was one in a series of six UFC events on Spike. I'm not sure if I like where the UFC is going. Hey the exposure is going to be great for the sport, and the fighters might actually start making some decent money (the average per fight salary is about one tenth that of a pro boxer), but I always kind of liked MMA being a niche

I thought it was pretty awesome, the first two matches were over to quickly, but the match between Bonnar and that other guy was fucking awesome-tastic, unfortunately I had to leave after that one, I found there was too much time between each match though, and Joe Rogan and that other guy stumbled a lot as commentators, it was cool nonetheless.

there's always too much time between matches. Joe Rogan's great, he knows his shit, its just the other guy. Color commentators suck. Except for the one on PrideFC. He got so into it, he bought Bas Rutten's Big Book of Combat and learned to speak japanese (Bas Rutten's his co-commentator). He still makes stupid comments, but he can actually call what a fighter is going to do every now and then, which Bas used to do all the time. Plus he's Canadian, and started calling Bas "El Guapo" once. Heh remember the Three Amigos?
