Background: Watanuki is a perfectly ordinary boy, in all senses of the word! Besides the fact that he can see spirits, works for an alcoholic crazy witch, and everything in his life is somehow fated, oh yes he's perfectly normal! ::cough:: Okay, fine, not really. Because he stumbled into a certain witch's shop and made a wish (to stop seeing spirits, incidentally), he's now working in the Dimensional Witch Yuuko's shop to pay for the granting of his wish. His parents died when he was small, but not before passing on something in his blood that makes him appeal to spirits. Yum.
Personality: Watanuki's a little high-strung. No, he's not hyper--in fact, he's pretty normal when Yuuko (the crazy bwitch), Doumeki (stupid JERK), or Himawari (SO CUTE!!!) aren't around. He has somewhat of a temper, is shocked easily, and has no patience whatsoever. He reaches an average of 750 decibels during his rants (no, really), and he hates to be bossed around but somehow allows ends up obeying, anyway. He wishes for peace and a NORMAL life (HAHA, funny), but if one looks deeper down one would realize that, despite everything, Watanuki has no value of self-worth at all. He's too willing to give up parts of himself for others, regardless of who's in need (go go Yuuko! Beat him into shape!). So really, he's just a closet emo-kid.
Story on how your character ended up in the desert: Just another ordinary day, lalala~ until, of course, he has to go to that stupid shop and sees YUUKO smirking. He blows up, of course, but she merely smiles and says something very mysterious-sounding about Hitsuzen and a sake lake in Verona, so he figures she's drunk. Before he could get the anti-hangover drink, though, she says she has a JOB for him and opens a portal. He suspects Doumeki was supposed to come along, but since Yuuko was drunk she promptly pushed Watanuki through--a desert, ooh--and...forgot about him
