Yep, here I am!
Sorry I scared everyone.
Seriously, I am sorry.
I just didn't know what to do at the time.
Anywho, this is what happened in a nutshell:
So I've been teaching a class at the local Mormon church on how to make certain dishes and everyone wanted more recipes from me.
First off, no, I'm not Mormon. So how did I get to teaching this class?
Because many of my friends are here and I agreed to teaching some classes.
I like these people. They're quite nice and pleasant to be with.
So I told them all I would start a blog and post my recipes. everyone was quite excited and I couldn't wait.
So I started a blog and called it Maria's Cooking Corner. That night, I went to a gardening class with my neighbor and good friend and I gave the address to one woman and to the woman who would post it in the mass mailing the next day for everyone in the church.
(I know. You're probably still stuck on the part about me going to these classes and who the hell is this woman who does this and writes about cannibal slash of all things?!?!?!)
Well, after that was all done, I suddenly realized something late that night, around midnight.
So I googled Maria's Cooking Corner and lo and behold! Guess what came up? My garlic bread recipe that I posted on my lj.
On no.
Oh yeah.
I just suddenly compromised my lj.
Now here's the thing.
I know these women think I'm different anyway and still like me. They like me despite the fact that I have no ties to any religion.
I think they might have a few problems with the fact that I write slash.
And hey! Maybe they wouldn't even have a problem with that. But yeah, I do tend to write things that are a bit sacrilegious, so I'm trying to cover my bases here.
Like I said, I like these people and the women are pretty cool but it still be a bit much.
So I deleted the Maria's Cooking Corner blog and started a different one.
Now, so I don't have an issue again, if you would like to check out this blog, let me know and I will PM you with the name and address. The only two recipes are my antipasta and garlic bread one but that will change soon as I will be posting my bean recipes. (And yes, I goggled new names for the recipes so this issue wouldn't come up again).
And oh yeah.
I talked to the woman who I gave the address to that would put it in a mass emailing and she hadn't yet. I gave her the correct address so that's fine. I still need to get a hold of the other woman, but I'm pretty sure she got the new addy by now.
And one more thing...
If you find your lj compromised, and you delete it so that no one can find you through google? That works only so far.
Sure if they click the link to your journal, it will just give them that JOURNAL DELETED message HOWEVER, if the person is smart enough, they can click on the CACHED link under the description of the entry and voila!
Your page is there in its entirety.
So yeah. It still didn't let me rest for long.
So that's why I'm explaining this. If you don't want your lj compromised, watch what you type anywhere else because someone could google that and find your lj.
Not that that happened this time.
