YUUKO: ...there are two dreams.

The dream you have when awake and the dream you have when asleep.

And either dream will become reality if you strongly wish for it.

THINGS

• So in the past few chapters and volumes Watanuki's been blanking in and out, there've been random acid dream chapters and things all out of sequence. The most definite meaning I can squeeze out of this excerpt, then: his perceived reality and the blanking out bits are interchangeable depending on his will.
  
  SO LET'S SEE. Watanuki's dreams lately? Well, there was a fishing one with Doumeki and one where he was feeding Himawari. THEORETICALLY: these are the kind of happy, inane reality that he can function in. On the other hand, he's got a funky other dream world with pretty people and Doumeki's grandpa and Sakura. Is this another reality for him, even if it's mostly a place where he parks his butt on random park benches and tree branches and sees HEAVILY CLOTHED GIRLS FLOATING IN THE AIR? Could be. This is pretty clearly a more spiritual realm. Where he doesn't have to go to school.
  
  This having to choose between "realities" is...I think entirely separate from the threat of him disappearing, and he has to choose one in which to actualize himself. Or maybe he's disappearing as a direct result of being caught between these magic head realms.
  
  Could tie in with Yuuko's "save two futures" line from way, way back, but it's probably more likely she was referring to the fates of both Watanuki and the Tsubasa cast.
  
  
• Watanuki IS HUMAN...?
  
  (SIGH OF RELIEF GOES HERE.)
  
  Also Doumeki and Himawari are REAL, or something--more real than his parents, anyway. All of Watanuki's memories from before his parents "died" are probably fake.
  
  
• Watanuki at this point has long lost sight of his whole "lose ability to see spirits" goal, so in between that and the most recent chapters he's pretty content in his simple life which revolves around Himawari, Doumeki, and Yuuko. In recent chapters--to which I can't update him in camp, mind--mostly he just wants to know what he IS, what's happening to him, what he can do, what he can do for Yuuko.
  
  Watanuki: like Jesus, in a way.
  
  But why does he want to know Yuuko's wish so badly all of a sudden? When he asked earlier it seemed like he did it out of just genuine curiosity. Seriously, he's such a nice kid. It's tripping me OUT.

AND THEN A BREAK UNTIL OCTOBER. DAMMIT TSUBASA HURRY THE HELL UP RIGHT NOW THIS IS TOTALLY YOUR FAULT.
