I decided that I absolutely love and adore reading autobiographies. I am reading this one now about Elaine Brown, she was the leader of the Black Panthers for a time. Did you know that there was a female leader of the panthers? I didn't. The book starts out with her giving a speech to 200-300 Black Panthers to tell them she has taken over. The

There was a time when I'd read AIDS narratives and biographies to snap my head back into reality.I think it was because they all had such imperative calls to action in them.I must have read Paul Monette's "Last Watch of the Night" five times.Sometimes it's good to read wake-your-ass-up material---these days, there's a lot ot be awake for!

The absolute best bible of an autobiograpy ever is Boy George's Take it Like a Man. Talk about multi-dimensional titles.

Too also, other notable biographies and autobiographies without titles, because those fine details are just too much for me to keep track of: Cher's and anything by Kitty Kelly.
