good thing they are strong, cut short and healthy. imagine if they were yellow and brittle I would be face first on the concrete right now. if that's any consolation at all (know it doesn't put cash in the pocket, but, you know, at least all the practice isn't for naught. Maybe it doesn't mean as much coming form us slam regulars, but you really touched the middle aged couple who shared our table, they were clapping harder at that than I had seen them clap all night, and they were having a good time, so you should feel good you contributed to that)
I'll buy you a beer in Albuquerque. In fact I'll buy you beer all weekend (or until my funds run short) as long as y'all keep rocking the mic like that.

thanks. i am so glad that you enjoyed it. It's one of those pieces that I can't quite tell if it all comes out, and I sure as hell can't tell what it looks like to fresh eyes on stage. I know what i am trying to say, so I am glad that you picked up on it too. Thanks, i appreciate your comments.

yeah I was actually wondering if that is something you wrote fresh for Nationals, because I don't remember having seen you do any permutation of that before. The back and forth snippets of dialogue work really well with that rapid fire delivery you and Krissi have worked out. The timing is really tight and you guys were very impressive.
Between this and "Eugene Garkowsky" you guys are looking real strong on the group pieces. That works great with having you and Krissi narrate it, especially the *sigh* you guys give for the football player, and little touches like that, it just really makes it something special.
"That's what you get when you fuck with a poet" wasn't bad as a group piece either, but I think I've just heard you give it such energy as a solo piece, and some of that was missing in the group performance of that Wednesday. Or maybe it was just anti-climatic following the wedding piece with Krissi, because that shit was powerful.

HA HA! My sister commented that she didn't know that I had ever seen my mother's naked ass. YES, I have seen my mother's naked ass. She is Mormon and they wear those garment things that are totally see through, and we shared a room during my adolescence....hhhhmmmm....I wonder if I am stumbling on my root...yeah, your ass doesn't look just like my mom's but a smaller version of her paleness would be more acurate. and by the way, I was the one heckling you on stage. do you realize that that's always me talking shit to you? I mean it's been me for the past like 9mo or so, at least. I lust love to have that interaction with you, it's so fucking fun. and look! we all got to see your ass because of it. oh, and i was kidding about the slam article, although I think that Andy really was trying to be an asshole because he is an asshole. but I am not. although I have seen yours. much luv big poppa.
