What's up y'all? I swear, I haven't been posting things publicly for such a long time. When I was in Albuquerque for nationals in 05 I met this girl for the first time and she said, "I have been reading your journal and you seem really down lately." Hey! Good to see you post something!

Sorry about the Repugnantkins you gotta deal with -- I find myself tripping across guys like that on my beat at work. But I don't have to be around them longer than an hour usually, so my heart goes out to ya.

anyway, glad to see you're doing well. When (not if) you get back on stage and have some time, you gotta swing out to New Mexico. You know we'd love to se us some Suzy again!

Very alienating, I imagine.Usually when I'm in a room of it, I leave the room. Sometimes the battles with those whose minds are set take too much energy. Sometimes not.I wish I had really constructive advice or texts on mediation to refer to you.Deep breaths.Maybe something along the lines of "since we're so close together for so many hours, couldya not talk about or watch people being killed when we're waitin' to help people out?" Maybe pave the way with sarcasm, irony....there's got to be some advice out there for such situations.
Ultimately, be a poet about it, which is my motto. >};-D

p.s. you can create list so that only certain people can read your post, just in case you're still concerned with people you've never met delving into your personal life.

Thanks sweetheart, I appreciate it. I actually slammed the first time in over 2 years last week. It was all straight out of my old chapbook like a jerk....but what the heck. I needed to get back on stage. Maybe after the holidays I can make a trip out to Cali that would be great. I need to hole up and write a lot. I really want to come back different and better, ya know? We'll see and thanks for the encouragement.
