I am so aggitated that some of the greatest movies of the year never make it to the theaters here.  I want to see Milk.  I want to see The Wrestler.  Neither are playing anywhere in town.  They got awesome reviews and they have tons of buzz.  So why in the hell doesn't the movie theaters in the area not play these movies?!?!   Bah!

Tim and I went up to Chicago to see the Amanda Palmer show.  It started snowing when we got in the city.  We called up Tim's friend Rick and we all escaped the snow in a quaint little place called The Pick Me Up Cafe.  The food was yummy.  Rick dropped us off at the show.  The opening act was a band called The Builders and the Butchers.  They were ( Read more... )

I had a wonderful birthday weekend.  On Friday, I went with aadroma to see Frank Warren speak.  If you don't know who that is he is the founder of postsecret. www.postsecret.com  It was a fun experience.  Almost every woman who told a secret was either raped or molested.  It was sad there were so many victims but I was thankful not to be included in those ( Read more... )

I am going up to Chicago on Sat.  to join Roger (and hopefull others) in a nationwide protest against Prop 8.  The one in Chicago is at the Federal Plaza (Dearborn and Adams) at 12:30 in the afternoon.
