Gimpy and the Slayer [fireworks on the lake do not a date make]

Jul 20, 2009 14:59

Backdated to July 4th

"That's the lake. Sorry about the smell."

Faith wasn't usually one for company when she was -- well, ever. It was one thing to tease Spencer, make him blush and stutter at her words, but it was another when she was alone with him and not trying to get into his pants. Or vice versa. She really was used to men hitting on her, and he didn't seem interested in that at all.

Which was kind of nice, if she was one to admit that kind of thing.

She had noticed him getting cranky the day before and figured he was the kind of kid that probably got to go see fireworks and dip easter eggs and that domestic shit. Since it was the fourth of July and all, why not enjoy them herself? She knew the perfect place to watch from, and she snagged a backpack and some snacks from the corner store just for the occasion. Not that it was a special occasion or anything.

The added bonus was that she got to escape the insanity that was Rehab as well, and also get and FBI agent to break into an old steel warehouse, one that she knew was still active as a cardboard factory and sometimes used the roof for a solitary escape. She grinned at him after picking the lock and popping the door open.

"After you, SSA Reid," she said in a way that indicated she was challenging him.
