Magic fixes UST [Reid & Faith]

Vegas was conspiring against them. It was obvious. They'd started by hitting the New York New York blackjack tables. Counting came as easily to Reid as breathing. He even did it when he was watching cards on tv so needless to say, he'd won a bunch of money. Enough money that they'd comped him a penthouse suite. A suite with a giant king sized bed ( Read more... )

It was completely her fault. After the three month long disaster that had been their tango with Cleveland's now twice-deceased resident brain-fucking vampire, everyone had needed a break. Faith, she needed more than that ( ... )

"Huh?" Reid asked because he was too busy staring at the unaugmented display she'd very nearly shoved in his face. Not that Reid was complaining. Not at all. Quite the opposite in fact. He finally looked where she was pointing then looked back at Faith confused.

"H-how do you tell?" he asked. The augmentation station didn't really hold much interest for him but how she knew they were augmented did. In fact, during this trip and more and more lately, Faith held more and more of his attention. He was trying to figure out what her deal with him was but Reid was in unknown waters. He could profile a person all day but when it came to relationships he just didn't get it.

She knew there was staring. There should be staring. Except that the staring was going to lead to more kissing and eventually things were going to go south, literally and then figuratively. Faith gave Reid and exasperated look before clarifying.

"Seriously? It looks like she has an ass on her chest." Her deal, of course, was that she was feeling legitimate feelings for Reid, the type that always ended badly for her. To make matters worse, she actually liked having him around, which meant no get some and get gone behavior.

Reid was really hoping things would go south literally. Figuratively he had more hope than Faith. He thought the relationship part of a relationship was the difficult part and they were maintaining that pretty well even though he was gone part of the time or maybe because he was gone part of the time.

At her words he directed his attention back to the stage, reaching in the pocket of his sweater for his glasses and put them on. He squinted up at the stage and shrugged. "Guess so. The weight balance is off so they don't rest correctly." He pointed out one of the women on the far end of the stage. "She's had classical ballet training and a lot of it. I wonder if her parents are pleased with her career choice or disappointed given that that much ballet training is expensive and time prohibitive."
