Come to think of it, the thing looks more like some sort of magic whatsit than arts and crafts, anyway. I glance at Willow and Tara, neither of whom look like they've ever seen it before, and hold it out to see if Giles or anyone knows what to make of the thing. "Does that symbol look familiar? I think I'v seen it somewhere before..."
