I'm so sorry for her. That ia terrible news for the New Year! Maybe with all our prayers it won't be cancer after all. We'll wait and see. JS

Thank you so much. She's "only" 10 .... and I know that sounds old for a Rottie, but really she's got so much life in her. Her eyes are bright (once the morphine wore off from the procedure) ... and I just can't believe this. It certainly doesn't feel like her time.

The contrast to the infection the vet removed in '06 was quite distinct. You could tell the '06 stuff was soft and icky. This new stuff is quite hard looking and has the color of grizzle I guess. I also caught a cold or something so the added stress of worrying about her is definitely keeping it hanging on much longer than it should.

I thought you would probably be one to respond, obviously being a dog lover yourself.

Thank you for your prayers. We very very much appreciate them!

We have always had animals. We had a farm in upstate NY and when we decided to go full time rving, we gave the farm to our son. He loves it and they have 3 kids. Now he's showing them all the good times he had as a boy. It makes us feel good. Two and a half years ago we had the sale at the farm and right after, my husband had a series of strokes and a nurse at the rehab said isn't it a shame it's all gone and now you can't go. It got under my skin and I told her he drove for years and now it's my turn. Well, that's the way it is now, and we still are going and loving it. There is an upside to everything. Just watch for it. That year we got a beautiful home for our last 3 horses and we saw them this past summer. They are fat and happy. Our story is a long one, for another time. Just show Athena how much you love her now when she needs it. Good luck with that cold and try good old chicken soup. J

Thank you my Love. I really need your loving and healing energy right now. I'm at great loss of what to do. I can only wait for the results and pray it's an infection.

Hey Syb,
Sorry I didn't see this sooner. I'll be praying that Athena has a quick and speedy recovery, as well as no cancer!

Love you,
