We have too many of those neighborhoods where the streets are named after trees no longer there.

This is a beautiful poem. I mourned the loss of that survivor and celebrated the hope of an unfolding new voice.

What a lovely poem. I was feeling sad and wistful over the loss of the trees and then was lifted up by the hopefulness of the mother and child. Thanks for this one.
