Guys? Some folks from home showed up. Do any of you mind if Willow crashes in Kir--my room? Just till we can get her settled. [Huff. Spike would take some more thinking. And some serious one-on-one conversation.] She's a total sweet-heart. I promise you won't regret it.

Look pet, you don't need to go and do what I know you're going to. I'm a big boy and perfectly capable of taking care of myself. Let's not rattle your doctor's brains anymore than I already did by adding me into that mix.

Figured as much. A girl hooked me up with that guide thingy earlier. Pretty helpful. Contrary to popular belief, I do read the fine print when it matters. Used to be rather into reading, just...not so much anymore.
[ he goes silent for a moment as he tries to figure out how to piece what he needs to say together in his head. he's never been very good with words (read: bloody awful poet), least of all around her, but he needs to say this. because it needs to be said now before he starts falling back into old habits he stayed in LA to beat. ]
Look, Buffy... I can't stay with you or really that near you. Not because of your doc, but because of you. And me. I didn't come and find you for a reason after I came back and I intend on keeping up with that reason. I'm not saying stay away, but being that close twenty-four/seven is something I'd like to avoid if at all possible.
...and me saying that we should probably talk about a few things one-on-one, face-to-face probably clashes pretty hard against all that I just said.

Right. I get that. Me? Totally understanding. [And feeling rather relieved, too. Relieved with a tinge of rejection. But that wasn't so bad. At least it meant she could feel and that was always a bonus, right?]
And despite the stunning contradiction involved with the whole face-to-face thing? Yeah. It's probably really very needed. There's stuff you should know. A-about here, I mean.
[She's being far too reasonable for anything to be really okay.]

I don't mind staying with Spike if it's going to be trouble.
And what's a New feather?

[But, God, staying with Spike?] Hey, Will? You don't have to stay with Spike because it's no trouble. No trouble at all. Just think of it like a slumber party, okay? [Only minus the actual fun.]

You'll have to introduce me to everyone. Just so I don't feel all intrusive.
[A rustling of clothes indicates uncomfort.]
I think I'll have to grab another outfit. This one doesn't fit. Oh, and sleeping? I sleeping is so not an option with these wings.
Everything is so weird here.
