[WRITTEN:]

Angel--might want to go ahead and choose a room, now. The couches are a little indisposed at the moment.

[Shortly after this announcement, Buffy can be seen labouring outside the house. One sofa is already down by the riverside, while the other is currently being dragged through the front door. She's standing on the porch and... ( Read more... )

[Well, Celes was a bit bored today and decided to check out the shops in the village. Of course, she is rather new to the area and accidentally turns down the wrong path on her way back to her apartment and sees Buffy standing there with a couch in the door before she catches on to her error.]

[Still, she can't resist the urge to help, the woman is all alone in this and two sets of hands might be able to get it out a bit better.]

Need some help?

[Buffy turns around and replies with a self-concious chuckle.]

Ah, maybe. Where's an overpaid moving company man when you need one, right?

[Celes doesn't quite get the term, but understands the idea of moving and how much trouble that is, she's probably moved much larger things than a couch honestly. Still, the couch had to have gotten in there somehow, so there must be a way to get it out. She gives a hesitant smile.]

Or anyone who would leave someone to move such a large couch by themselves.

[She looks at it a bit, and it looks like maybe if it's angle was changed, it would fit, might take some tries though, but two women would do better than one, and maybe someone else will happen on by]

I can take one end and you can take the other. Maybe if we shift its position it will go out.

Well, I managed the first one without any trouble. [And now, she points out the first couch down by the river.] So I think you're right about the whole position shifting thing.

[McCoy is out walking today apparently when he spots Buffy grappling with a couch outside her house. He recognizes it as the sanctuary Jim had sought to dodge his revenge and he wanders over. Can't leave a lady struggling even if she can throw a man into a tree.]

[Although she smiles when she sees the doctor, her embarassment is pretty obvious. She's not really used to needing help in situations like this.]

The door-frame just seems a little to small for the couch. or, the couch is a little too big for the door-frame. But, the first one got out just fine! [And to prove this, she points at the first couch, chilling by the river.]

[McCoy follows her gesticulation and the couch chillaxing next to the river almost mockingly. He scowls before resting his hands on his hips disapprovingly.]

I hope you're not going to just leave that there.

[Defiantly:]

If I have to, I'll leave it there till the cows come home. Which should be a really long time, because I don't recall seeing any cows anywhere.

[And soon there'll be a foot right in the way. He's not letting you go anywhere with that couch.]

Hey! [She hops up onto the side of the couch that is still sticking out from the doorway.]

[Foot's still in the way, couch is still stuck in place.]

[Trying really hard to sound convincing:] Look, I have...important stuff that has to be done with this couch and it's gotta be done...outside. Important couchy things.

[Looking up, she spots Atoli. With a sudden smile, she brushes her hands clean and crosses her arms across her chest, peering back in the doorway at the house guest.]

I call this Operation Get Angel Into A Real Bed.

[She says this next part like it's obvious:]

If I get rid of them, it means he can't sleep on one of them instead of in his room.
