[Voiced - 70% Filtered against Drusilla]

Angel's back. He got back a few nights ago, but he wasn't really returned in the mintest of conditions. I've done as much as a girl can do to keep him house-bound because of his--uhm--situation, but just in case he gets out? Give him a hand if you see him. He'll probably not want it, but he will need it. ( Read more... )

[Well really, he's just been closing off a bit more as time goes on. This whole thing is getting to him, the isolation of his condition, so he wasn't too responsive to Wesley at all.

He'll be lying on the couch, right where you left him, facing up. He's pretty still, and he doesn't need to breathe, so feel free to compare him to something dead.]

[Why compare when, after all, he is something dead. The truth is that she's relieved to see him in the same place. A huge chunk of her had been worried that he would have done something foolish. Like tried to go out and patrol without the incredibly necessary skills of seeing and hearing.

Eventually, after the jacket is put away and some bustling has been done, she grabs a seat on the couch. She takes just a sliver of a cushion. She has something for you once it looks like you've actually noticed her arrival.]

[He's gonna start slightly as he feels her weight on the couch, but he catches himself before it's too dramatic. It's just a housemate. Now, which one? He's being cautious not to respond too much until he's assessed who it is. He nearly grabbed Wesley's hand earlier thinking it was Buffy.]

[She would have liked to have been here to see that. Maybe find a little humour in this whole ex-honey and his incapacitation situation. But instead, she's left serving the blood. This hand is definitely Buffy's hand that catches on to Angel's shoulder and attempts to coax him into a sitting position.]

Buffy? Are you holding up okay?

Playing the nursemaid isn't my usual role--but I'm managing.

Is there anything I can do to help you out? I have a bit of free time on my hands.

To be brutal with the honesty? Not sure. Angel's not exactly the bestest patient ever. Whatever they did to him's left him both blind and deaf and he's not taking too kindly to the whole concept of incapacitation.

[ O hai Buffy. Have a shirtless Kirk (well okay, he was taking off his shirt). ]

Hey, Buffy.

[Wow, she's mightily preoccupied with trying to fish this holy water out from under the table. Buffy is actually startled at the sound of her name and leaps up--or, she attempts to leap up. Mostly she just leaps into the table as the top of her head smashes against the bottom of it. Ow. Owowow.

Rubbing the sore spot, she crawls back out from beneath the table and--whoa, did she hit her head a little to hard? Did she contract some sort of don't-see-shirts-anymore disease? There's a confused pause before she shakes her head and gathers her wits about her.]

Jim, hi.

Having fun under my table?

[ He finishes taking off his shirt and folding it. There is a lot of care that goes into this golden uniform. He sets it on the bed before striding over to her and putting his hands on his hips (shirtless and barefoot, Captain Kirk was in comfy mood). ]

I'll keep an eye on Angel. And keep him in the house, insofar as I can.

Thank you. If he's looking for me? Just tell him I had to go out. Though...I guess that's not really the easiest task to be charged with. What with the him not hearing things.

[Angel's pretty much chillin' on the couch. Not much choice there.]

[And she actually begins to search for a few seconds before realizing that Bones is there. At which point she pauses and awkwardly clears her throat. No, sir. This is not breaking and entering.]

I guess this is the part where I say hello?

[He raises an eyebrow before getting up and opening the door for her.]

You're not usually the knocking type, Summers.

Well, I won't deny that I didn't spend a few minutes debating whether to climb in Jim's window. It's a...stealth thing. This was sort of a get-my-stuff-and-go mission.
