Drusilla -- Where ever you're keeping them? You may as well tell me know and save me the excruciatingly long search. The longer I search, the harder it's going to be on you. But...you know what? I sort of hope you don't tell me, because I would oh-so-much prefer to take my sweet ( Read more... )

[Sloppy handwriting is sloppy.]

What the hell are you doing, Summers?

Saving the day. What are you doing? You shouldn't be writing stuff. Give the wrists a rest.

Well, scribbling kittens suddenly became my new favourite pastime since you used voodoo on Jim. And 'saving the day'? Can't you be a bit more specific?

Kittens? I'm not even going to try asking. I just--wait, voodoo? I'll have you know I am entirely voodooless, Bones. So what are you going on about?

[Apparently, no--she can't be more specific.]

[ Hi, Buffy. Just going to sneak up and pick you up all damsel-in-distress style. ]

[It's a bad sign when the Slayer is taken so entirely off her guard. Is this because she hasn't been sleeping, in favour of patrolling? Probably. Good thing she notices who you are rather quickly, Kirk. Otherwise it would have been axe-ville for you. As it is, she tosses the sharp-and-deadly weapon onto the ground (and away from the cute boy, who she'd very much like to keep intact). There might have been a gasp of utter terror and surprise, but if you tell anyone, Kirk, she'll deny it!]

Hey, Buff!

[ Because it is totally casual for a Starship Captain to just walk up to you, grab you, and stand there. Flapping his golden wings. Yup. ]

Double patrols?

[So casual that it loops the whole circle of casualness and becomes uncasual, again. You get raised eyebrows for your prize, Kirk. Still, so far? No struggling. That's effort best spent elsewhere.]

Something like that, but it's sort of impossible to even manage a single patrol when space-men insist on sneaking up and sweeping me off my feet.

[Vyse, on a patrol of his own, gives Buffy a curious glance as she passes by. He can't help but notice that girl looks pretty exhausted, and despite that, she's headed in the direction of the forest.]

Are you going out?

Going out, coming in. I'm not really sure, anymore. [A small smile.]

[That only made him more confused, really.]

If that's how you feel, shouldn't you stay here in the village and rest a bit? You look like you need it. ... No offense, of course!

[A slightly bemused expression.] None taken. I know, I probably look like death thawed over, right?

[He's out on patrol too, much sooner than he should be (considering he's unsteady if you watch carefully, plus he's majorly black-and-blue), as if that's ever stopped him before.]

[The habitual concerned face switches on once she sees him. Considering she can be heard now:] Look, Angel? I've got this. You should focus on feeling better.

Did they take your brain out, and replace it with some insane person's brain? Because you're talking like an insane person. You're not in any shape that is remotely close to being fit to find them.

[Since they are neighbors of a sort, Hikari will be sitting outside her house watching the woman run around. She's noticed before, but hadn't had the opportunity to ask.]

[After a few repeated sightings, Buffy's actually to wave a polite greeting. After all, it pays to be neighbourly.]

[She gives her a wave back in return.]

Hello. You seem like you must be very busy.

[Action] slaying August 18 2009, 14:57:28 UTC
Busy is one way of describing it. Being involuntarily volunteered for being one part nigh-tguard, two parts nursemaid might be another.

[But there's the hint of an exasperated smile. Funny, to have been here for three months already and barely to have met a neighbour. May as well be back home.]
