[026 - action & accidental voice]

[So it's a yucky, cloudy day out, but Buffy's outside anyway. She doesn't exactly want to be--after all, overcast in Luceti isn't quite like her native habitat of glorious Sunnydale, California. But the house feels too small and she has never felt like she's needed so much space before ( Read more... )

[Guess who's passing by? Well, he does live here. Anyway Wes notices Buffy's failing and pauses on his way out to the stores.]

Buffy? Are you, ah, all right?

[It was about time to give up, anyway. With a rueful expression, she turns to the ex-watcher.]

I'm fine. Just trying to be not-bored.

. . . And how is that going?

[He sounds a little incredulous, but she did look extremely ridiculous a few seconds.]

Clearly not very great, if your face is anything to go by.

[She deflates.]

[Huh what? Was that a...voice? Buffy drops out of position and scouts around until the guilty journal is found. Oh. Right.]

Y-yeah, I'm fine. Sorry about that.

Oh, it's all right. May I ask what you were doing?

It was a relaxation thing. Sorta like a far east spiritual mumbo-jumbo meditation gig. Not working that well, though.

[Will be plunking himself down on a nearby not-too-damp tree-stump, and begin drawing some rather comical sketches of the woman attempting Tai-Chi... and he's trying to be sneaky... not that the giant fuzz-ball is SUCCEEDING at this, he's just being quiet]

[It doesn't take her too long to notice the oh-god-is-that-a-werewolf? Old habits die hard, and she drops easily into typical Slayer stance while leveling a steely eye.]

[Quite oblivious to this as he's still focusing on drawing her in of those ridiculous poses she had been getting herself into earlier]

[Carefully and quietly, Buffy begins a circling approach. She wants to ascertain whether this creature is dangerous or not, first.]

Something on your mind?

[Bones? Buffy's arms drop to her side and she looks around her, half-expecting to see the man nearby. It takes her a moment to clue in that the journal was at the heart of this and she walks closer to it.]

A something or two, yeah. What's up, Bones?

That should be my line.

[There is the sound of her taking a seat on the grass before she continues being obstinate.]

Which one? The first or the second line? 'Cause in my opinion they were both pretty good. Almost went for the what's up, doc but that probably would have been a crossed line rather than a good one.

[Simon is walking through the area when he sees Buffy. He pauses and watches her a little while, trying to figure out what she is doing.]

[What she's doing looks like the cross between a really slow, humiliating dance and a botched martial art. She probably won't see Simon yet, so engaged is she in her failure.]

Pardon me, my lady, but might I ask what you are doing?

[First, the intrusion of a voice startles her out of her concentration and she turns to face the speaker. Second? The my lady part twists her mouth into a little frown.] It's Buffy--and it's Tai Chi.

[Whoa, slow down. Shake your head, Buff. Clarify:] I mean, I'm Buffy and this is Tai Chi. Or, it's supposed to be. I don't think I'm doing it altogether right.
