Good atourny that helped the chandlers through a bankrupcy is Robert Caplan. He also did mine and Tiff's Divorce. Good guy with fair prices.

I respect that you are trying to help me out in this event. There are a couple of problems, however. One, I'm currently being sued by a credit card company. They won't play the "make any payment you can" thing. My credit is already in bad shape. My father knows many ways to get credit back on track. He's filed for bankruptcy multiple times. I'm in no hurry to get a house. Also, I'm not filing a chapter 7 which would ruin my credit.

Most debt consolidation requires your debt to be really high before they will help you. Mine isn't super high, but I can't do anything about it. Especially not having a decent paying job.

I'm not entirely certain the details of a 13. I know its better because you are basically sort of paying everything off. The 7 is a liquidation and that does effect your credit badly.

I do appreciate your concern. I have thought it through and I am confident because i'm not hurting anyone but myself. Not like I'm ever going to get married or anything.
