It kind of throws me when tons of other folks don't pick up on something that I grasp so quickly. *g* Instead of the "look at me I'm so smart" it's more like, "how come?"
I notice you had nothing to say about Cameron. ;-)
I think that, since it was a hallucination, he was enjoying that he could play games with her, and she'd let him, but I don't think he'd actually follow through. I mean, if he won't even do it in his psyche, why would he do it in real life?
Other than that, she was pretty much a non-character in this episode, wasn't she?
Yup. Though the fact that he thinks she'd respond positively does make you think about his real opinion of her. *g*
They were all non-characters in this ep. Every single one of them except House. Considering they were all merely different aspects of his mind, that makes sense. I can see why David Shore said this was either the best episode or the worst episode he's written. Fandom seems equally split. Personally, I loved it.
But there was all sorts of good analyzing stuff to look at that way! And maybe he agreed he doesn't need to be miserable and then he can move in with Wilson and they can play tennis. But the important thing was..it was a gosh darn cliffhanger!!! Bastards.
Yup. Very, very cool when you realize that all the characters were merely aspects of House's mind.
I think he agreed to take a chance, because the main point of the hallucination was, that once before he wasn't allowed to choose. Stacey and Cuddy took his choice away. So this time, he figured maybe he'd take a chance and see what happened?
Cliffhanger! Yeah! I didn't get to many of those this season and the one on 24 left me cold. So I can go with that.
Have you read that David Shore thinks this is either the finest work he's done or the worst? Makes you wonder what he's got planned for next year. *g*
