One year later, and homesick

I've missed you, and always wondered what you were up to. Which side of the country are you living on these days?

Granted, I only moved several hundred miles away, but oh do I get you on the isolation. 2,700 miles is unfathomable to me. My country isn't even that big.

Have you managed to see someone about your sinus infection?

so are you like living in my mind or something? i thought the exact same thing both times i moved, first to philly, then to LA. Iremember once going for a long walk in a dangerous part of philly late in the evening and thinking, if something happened to me, nobody would know, noone in the world has any clue where i am right now etc. and not having anybody etc etc. everybody is so far away, i am so isolated. and probably i felt that way until about 2.5/3yrs into living in philly when i made a couple of good deep connections. its so hard to set yourself up in a new place. but ppl do it all the time. it can take some of us years, and that is ok. also, in emergencies, you would be surprised i bet how many ppl that are local to you would step in and help you. yeah its notyour best friend or family, but there are ppl there that care about you. i always list my family in canada as emerg contact - bec usually thats for if i need somebody to make decisions about me etc, and really they are the only ones that can do that. but, having ( ... )
