Ah, the great American traditional of witch hunts - Salem through McCarthy to terrorists under every stone. Does it make us (the great free world) any better than them when we refuse fair trials? When does the end justify the means? And just how much is the politics of fear?

On a related but different note. Scary recently in England how much villification their is of muslims in the UK press. The new bogeymen....
