I am getting addicted to running things, apparently, so! What I want to try at Fanime and then if I can work this out, run it at Otakon on a larger scale, is running a variant of mafia/werewolf/etc. This will be pretty simple if you know how to play mafia. If not, here. Read this. At least the basic rules section, we're probably not playing any of the variants. I'll wait.

1. Each "day" will have a twelve hour voting cycle. The sun "rises" at 12 am and pm. Votes for ousting will be required by 1:00 am/pm. Night will be from 11-12 am/pm. The first day will be Friday, starting 12 noon. This is mainly because I want this to end when Fanime ends.
2. I want to play this out with all the voting and announcements done by cell phone. Preferably, text message. So I'll text out the vote choices, and you'll respond. (I'll probably have a posterboard or something on the outside door of my room with the ousting choices as soon as I can after noon.)
3. You are allowed to talk to your fellow players about the game of course, with a caveat. If you are a Mafiso, you will lie about it in public, with other players who aren't Mafiso.
4. To make it easier to figure out who's playing in the game, I'll give you all lanyards/ribons--the same one, yes--to make the identification easy. It also makes wearing your badge easier, so double plus bonus. And I'll figure out some way to signify the dead too.
