I'm so disappointed in people now...If you've been at tech for 5 years, and you've checked out less than ten books, you simply fail at life. End of story. Don't care if you buy stuff, thats 5 years and less then ten books. You no longer win any argument with me on anything remotely related to literature, reading, writing, and I've lost a lot of ( Read more... )

I've checked out more than five books, but they were all for Perspectives... frankly, I find Tech's library a little lacking in my personal reading taste. While I'm in school, I tend to not have the time for deeper reading, so my own personal collection suffices.

I always knew I failed at life. Thanks for confirming it for me. I think the last time I "checked out" a book was high school. Can't remember for sure though. I tend to like to own the books I read, but I've been spoiled by my family. That and most of the libraries I've been to were a bit lacking in the sci-fi department, which is what I like to read.

Yeah I'm with you teaz. I've read 14 books over a single christmas break before, but during the school year I just never seem to have the time.

Tech's library fails. It is sorely lacking in books that pique my interest, and I already have a HUGE backlog in my "to read" pile. At my current rate of pile reduction (three books out and two books in every two months or so on average), I won't be done reading those for a couple years. I really only use Tech's library for periodicals, and only then when I can't find them online. Sorry to disappoint you ( ... )
