I don't know if it helps any, but if it could... I celebrate death now in a way that I couldn't have, but wanted to years ago. Something about the way I view death has changed. I believe it's much more likely that there is nothing, no soul-wandering, no cognition of death than it is there is just no heaven and no hell, and therefore a sucker's sentence of a constant wandering in the what would be nothing-of-a-hereafter. But I also believe that it's far more likely than either of those that there actually is a Heaven and a Hell. A hell, a constant separation from everything good and God. And a heaven, which everything good is only a foretaste or glimpse of where we can be with God. And because I believe in Heaven, and that everything good I experience is a divine taste of what Heaven will be like (and that everything bad I experience is an equally divine taste of what Hell would be like) I can be and am very excited about believing in Heaven.
