I don't think I've really come across a fic that deals with Sarah interacting with other companions while still traveling with the Doctor. At least, not ones that almost put her in the same position Rose was in School Reunion. Seeing her response to the Doctor having other people in his life is interesting, considering she got to know him though UNIT and they very likely mentioned Liz and Jo to her..

On a less articulated note- yay, dragon!

Yay! You kinda hit on a dynamic I was going for, which was equating Rose to Sarah Jane and Sarah Jane to Jo. YAY. Because that is really what I thought the entirely time: "It's like School Reunion, but not. How would Sarah Jane react to that?"

It's one thing to mention a past companion, it's another thing to have them in close proximity to one another.

I. love. dragons. This gave me a perfectly good excuse to put one in a fic (even if I did base him on Toothless from How to Train Your Dragon). lol.

I think that's fair, actually. Jo and Three were so close, so it only makes sense that she's inquiring after the new assistant because she wants to know that Three is being taken care of, rather than from a jealous standpoint. All of that just irritates the early Sarah Jane. lol.
