I was already iffy about watching it to begin with. Not out of some solidarity-with-Moore protest or some shit (since I don't think he actively hates the film; he just doesn't want to be involved at all). I hate the movie theaters of Podium! I watched a movie there once because they had an exclusive and promised not to return. It's so small! Plus the sound sucked, and the chairs weren't comfy. But the screen's so small, it's not worth the price of the ticket. It was like watching an oversized TV at a friend's house.

That contractual workers stuff is a scheme SM and Jollibee among others do so that they don't have to pay benefits as required by regularized employment, along with 13th month pay, etc.

And yes their food sucks.

GAAAAAAAAAH! it was bad enough being distracted by the cuts in the middle of Sin City. (they can show Elijah Wood being EATEN by a wolf/dog but not Carla Gugino's naked body?)

thanks for the warning. I've been trying to keep my expectations low, but mostly because I knew the movie could never match the book. this is another hurdle entirely.
