Great interview with Steven Soderbergh up at the AV Club. Consider me on board for the 3D Cleopatra musical starring Catherine Zeta-Jones with music by Guided By Voices's Robert Pollard. This is terribly cute and sweet. Speaking as a spiegelman fan, the kind that reads damn near every interview he gives, let alone works he produces, it's almost odd to see that side of him.

I think I was chatting with Sharon when I realized there's not much I want to buy online anymore. There used to be a LOT: CDs, DVDs, books, comics, etc. Now no one buys CDs anymore, I'm waiting on the Blu-ray situation to settle down (and cheapen) before I buy any of the newfangled DVDs (though that Criterion Chungking Express is mighty tempting), ( Read more... )
