I have to leave in a couple of hours, I’m dreading the trip! In the end though it is worth it for I get to see my Sammy!

Ask the doctors to check her blood for parasites, if you will. Likely they have already done so, but just in case.
My sympathies to you, and my fingers are still crossed for your mother.
I hope she will get better soon. My heart is with her, and with you.
But despite of this, I hope that you will manage to have a nice weekend with Sammy. Try not to be too troubled, sweet one.
If your mother is as stubborn as you are, she will be on her feet in no time at all. =P
