okay, so i'm a little late with this, but...
on the way for the first time. you see, we got off to a late start and anna's mom kept forgetting things, SO she decided she would go back home and take a nap before we headed to georgia. after much complaining and waiting around on my and anna's part, we finally left at around 11-ish on thursday night. (last picture = me & chai tea smoothie... love!)
after the longest drive ever, we arrive in georgia. (hence the peaches.) we stayed for a night at anna's uncle jason's house, and there was much of me waiting around on everyone else. i got a pedicure and shopped alot. true story.
hahaha!
sometimes i think i'm the best thing ever.
goodbye, georgia!
deliciously unsafe. tsk tsk.
yay florida!
and so, this became our temporary home.
it's a little hard to tell, but it was a full moon. i thought this was pretty exciting, but my camera did not.
feeeeet!
anna takes forever to get ready, so i amuse myself.
the first full day we were there, the water was gorgeous... however the kelp was all washing up, as you can see. but it makes for a good photo... even if it's nasty to swim in and it gets stuck in your boobs?
i think i was still waiting on anna when i took all of these, haha... we were going to
spinnaker's!
we couldn't master the concept of getting both of us in the shot (and looking decent at the same time), so we gave up. and then our food came. :D
we decided to walk back to our condo, taking advantage of the more scenic route. the winds were strong, and my five dollar bill was no match... thus, some old man became five dollars richer. he ignored me when i tried to flag him down, and so i demonstrate my pouty face.
it's okay, the ocean's got my back.
i secretly love anna's new dress.
it's understood. i do it for the hood.
sarah! she's cute until you try to make her go to sleep.... the double red flags = water closed to public. yet notice the dumbasses that are out there anyway... maybe it's thrilling. but yes, the tropical storm meant rain and a pissed off ocean.
roar...!
these people made me laugh. i think they were trying for volleyball, but the one girl had what looked to be a pink ping-pong paddle. they probably won't get too far with one team, either....
the sun set, the ocean calmed down... 'twas nice.
tuesday was anna's birthday! happy 17th, g!
we had some crappy dinner at "the treasure ship", and came back to the condo for some cake.
yay cake!
the next ones are my favorites. i fondly call them "savannah doesn't really swim, but she floats and it's cute."
anna then had a brilliant idea....
!!! ... savannah cried, but only a little.
the sun was setting and it was savannah's bathtime, so we headed inside.
failed attempt at a giant spike on her head... 'cause that's how we roll.
friday came, and it was time to head back to georgia for another night. this kicked the first trip out of the "longest ride of my life" spot. jason and his short-cuts... pffft. we stopped at a mcdonald's with a playland for the little shitbirds. chocolate milkshakes are yum.
when we got to georgia late friday night, we pretty much just slept. alot. but saturday we went to the aquarium! i was so homesick at this point, that it was hard to be excited. i missed my rancid dog, my messy house, my screaming siblings, and my sleepy mommy.
sup fish?
anna wasn't too excited either....
the jellyfish were my favorite.
fun fact! star fish freak jordan out. and there were alot of them.
giant crabs!
giant skeleton!
beluga whales! penguins! a sea lion! i can hardly contain myself. the clusterfuck is getting to me. observe:
manta rays, pisces-looking fish, sharks, and pirhanas are pretty neat though.
yay!
we stopped at
the varsity on the way back to jason's from the aquarium... it was packed, dirty, and the fries sucked. no thanks.
so after sleeping for a few hours, we left georgia saturday night and i happily arrived back in winchester at about 6:00am sunday morning. i was locked out, and when mumsy came to rescue me she had a group of people with her (morgan, jimmy, jeremy, jason, morgan's brother matt, and someone whose name i didn't catch...) that led us to bob evan's for a gross but exciting breakfast. yay home!
i was so excited to be home, that i went into my sister's room, watched mulan, took pictures of my feet, and put neosporin on my raw sunburnt skin!
:D
sleepy mommy > you
get ready for dinner, spend quality time with bailey...
madre, jared, delaney...
el ranchero kicks ass!
as much as we all hate wal-mart, it was our only choice due to a power-outage at target... but i bought kiwi, so it's cool.
and that's about it.
it's good to be back. :D
