work roof and odd smells

They've been doing something with the roof at work for 3 weeks now. Every Monday when I come in and it's still going on, I sigh. I don't actually know what our roof looks like, but it seems like it was covered with lots of rocks. I don't know anything about industrial roofs but at a previous job I was up on the roof one time and it was covered

Ugh ... hope they finish the roof sooner rather than later. It must be annoying to have all this noise all the time ...
