Chris slips into the house, and is surprised to find it mostly dark.  He checks his watch and briefly wonders if he’s missed her and she’s already on her way to the party. But no, the party doesn’t start for two hours yet. He frowns, worried, and strains to hear the sounds of the house now that he’s not rustling his bag around.

And then he hears the tv from the den, and he moves towards the noise and the flickering light streaming through the door. He comes up short, rather confused when he sees her with a plastic orange serving bowl loaded with miniature chocolates, in her sweatpants and one of his old t-shirts watching movies in the dark. With a sigh he drops the duffel bag outside the white french doors that lead to the den and pushes open the cracked door quietly.

He slips into the room, his hands in his jeans pockets, a cross between a smirk and a frown tugging at his lips because while he disapproves of the obvious wallowing she’s doing, she’s still adorable and it’s still been far too long. “Is this what you do when I’m away filming? Cancel plans with our friends to stay home and wallow.”

She jumps, nearly sweeping the bowl of Halloween candy into the floor. His hand snakes out and he grabs the bowl, getting ready to steal a piece, when she grabs the bowl from his hand. “That’s not for you. Its for me, get your own Halloween candy. Maybe Reese will give you some.”

Chris sighs as he sits on the couch and puts an arm around her. Her body is stiff, but she still comes willingly. He presses a kiss into her hair. “Gina, we’ve talked about this.  That is just tabloid bullshit. Reese is happy with her boy friend. And you know I love you.”

She turn and kisses him, taking him by surprise, but he returns the kiss none the less. Her voice is soft when she responds. “I know. I’m sorry. I just miss you and I keep seeing you in all these pictures with other women. And God Chris I’m human too, okay. I try and play the cool girlfriend but sometimes it just kills me to see all the bullshit on those fucking magazines. And my sister keeps calling me to console me. And Christ I haven’t seen you in person for months.”

Chris sighs and pulls her in closer, pressing kisses to every inch of her face he can reach, following each kiss with an “I’m sorry.”

She sighs, “I’m sorry I’m acting like a crazy bitch. You’re here, that’s what matters. Lets make the most of it, you’ll have to be back in Toronto soon no doubt.”

“Slow down Gina, you’re upset. I want you to know I’m listening to you.”

She sighs, “I don’t want to talk Chris. This is the first time I’ve seen you in months, I want to do other things.”

She punctuates her words, by sliding her hands into is button up shirt, working half the buttons open before he stops her hands.

She growls at him.

Chris laughs, “Baby, I want that too. But I thought you were supposed to be going to the Cho’s Halloween party.”

She pouts, “I called Kerri and told her I wasn’t feeling well. I didn’t want to go see everyone with their significant other by my self.”

Chris snuggles her close, “Babe, you were so excited about your costume.  I came so we could go together. I even got one of the prop girls on set to make me a costume to match yours.”

She gives him a glare. “Christopher Whitelaw Pine, are you really telling me you’d rather go to a Halloween party than have sex?”

He grins, “Not exactly. But I want to take you out, be photographed in public with you. Shut your sister up. And give the damn magazines something to really write about. Rather than some speculation bull shit.  I’m the one who started this, that day in the air port. Baby, I can’t stand to watch them make a fool out of you, when neither of us has done anything wrong.”

She startles him when she takes his face between both her palms and then pulls him in for a deep kiss. Licking into his mouth, enjoying the familiar tastes she’s missed since he’s been away.

When she pulls back, gasping for air, his lips are red and swollen, and his tongue darts out to moisten them.  He chuckles.  “Not that I’m complaining, but what was that for?”

She links her fingers through his, “sometimes you are just so damn sweet with out even knowing it.  We need to get dressed if we’re going to make it to that party.  But I’m going to look like an idiot.”

Chris kisses her hand, “no. You’ll look like you were missing me.  You should talk to Keri and Natalie about that. They’re both familiar with it, in fact Keri used to do it all the time. They’re both more comfortable with the group now, and maybe they can offer you some advice. Because baby sitting at home eating Halloween candy in the dark, is not healthy.”

She laughed, “I know. You’re just mad you don’t get any.”

“Damn straight, now go get dressed love. We’re going to be late.”

Twenty minutes later he lets out a wolf whistle as she walks into the room and does a little twirl for him.  She’s opted for a World War II army nurse costume, sorta like the one Kate Beckinsale had worn in Pearl Harbor.

“You don’t look to bad your self fly boy.” He’s opted for a World War II era pilots costume. And she thought he filled it out quite well.

Chris slipped his arm around her waist pulling her in close to his body. He kissed her, deep and dirty, leaving her breathless and knocking her hat off her head. When he pulled away he rested his forehead against hers “Can’t wait to get you out of that costume.”

She slipped away from him, and smiled, “then get a move on, buddy. But you were the one who wanted to go to this party. I was perfectly happy staying home.”

He laughed, “yes I know. But you think my reasons are romantic.”

“Yeah but if you spend all evening leering at me, it ruins the romantic gesture.” She grabs a mini candy bar from the bowl and unwraps it as she speaks.

“You telling me you don’t want me to?”

“I didn’t say that now did I?” She laughs as she leans forward to kiss him one more time. She can’t stop herself, he’s here in front for her, and all she wants to do is touch him.

“Hmm.” He makes a contented sigh as he pulls away. “You shared your candy after all.”

Gina rolls her eyes, and grabs his hand, “lets go make nice with your friends, and then come home. I wanna fuck you in that costume. And if you’re good I’ll share more than my Halloween candy.”

Chris’ hand lands in the small of her back, but not before grabbing her ass playfully. “You got it babe. I missed you, G.”

She leans into his touch, “missed you too Chris.”
