Unfortunately a bit too recognisable for me at the moment. :( Had to stop once or twice because it came too close, but I can recognize myself in Kevin's behaviour, had the same when my mom died last July. It is tough times, but I'm sure that they'll get through it.

And, yes, household chores DO help to get rid of frustrations over things that can't be helped or corrected. :)

I'm sorry that this was triggering for you. Thanks for reading despite that! The next story will also be very sad, but more in a general 'bad things happen to the Walkers' way and less in a maladaptive strategies for grief way.

I know! I have written him as hating it with a passion. I wanted to show how upset he was, how worried for Kevin, how willing to do anything to help him. Thanks for reading!

Congrats on finishing! something I don't seem able to do with my stories.

You've created a very sensitive and accurate portrayal of grief. I really like thinking about them still being together with grown children.

Great read!

Thanks for reading!
The real challenge will be finishing the next story, 'Downpour.' I have a lot planned for it, and I hope it can live up to my expectations.
I tried my best to show how they would each react to grief. I'm glad it rang true for you. The next story will hopefully get more into things.

Once again another really nicely crafted story that captures Kevin and Scotty's relationship so well. I really enjoyed (possibly not an appropriate word given the subject matter) reading it.

Really looking forward to reading 'Downpour' now too.

Thank you!

Thank you very much! I'm glad you 'enjoyed' it. I 'enjoyed' writing it too, even if it was emotional subject matter.
I have 'Downpour' planned out in my head, but it may take a little while for me to put it down on (virtual) paper and up on the interwebs.
I can tell you that although it will have a Kevin and Scotty focus, the other Walkers will play a part as well, and that it will be a difficult time for all of them.

Beautiful!
Love how Scotty wants to protect and cheer Kevin after all these years together.

Thanks for writing.
